Project Managers

Job Description

We are looking for organized, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as project managers. The responsibilities of the project manager include overseeing software and other projects from start to finish, managing and motivating software developers and other team members, giving customer presentations, and writing project proposals.

To be successful as a project manager, you should have a good working knowledge of project estimation techniques with strong communication and decision-making skills.

Working with in the EastPoint Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager will  direct and coordinate the utilisation of resources, within delivery time frames and budget,  to achieve project targets.

The project manager will be analytical and have a positive demeanour. They will  communicate with stakeholders during all phases of the project, and close it efficiently. This is not a passive role and will require active participation in the delivery process.

Software Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Working with the EastPoint Account team, discuss potential projects and their parameters with client stakeholders
  • Liaising with stakeholders such as project personnel, vendors, and end-users regarding project requirements.
  • Planning out the blueprints for projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication and governance approach
  • Assembling and leading the project team.
  • Outlining, defining, and initiating the project.
  • Implementing document control policies and documentation templates.
  • Participating in and supervising each stage of the project.
  • Ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines.
  • Creating a project budget and ensuring the project adheres to the budget as closely as possible.
  • Determining and overseeing consistent testing and troubleshooting of all deliverables
  • Serving as a liaison to track and communicate information regarding budget, changes, deliverables, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
  • Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems.
  • Ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies, and procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • Ideally 10 years plus relevant experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience in applying formal methodologies (PMI, Prince2, etc.).
  • Preferred experience with JIRA, MS Project, Visio, CRM systems, Enterprise Systems.
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies is preferable.
  • Proven experience in project management and software development.
  • Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques.
  • Excellent technical and business administration knowledge.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making: organizational skills including motivation, mentoring and conflict management
  • Resource Planning: scheduling, problem solving and the resolution of conflicting priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be eligible to work and live in Ireland.
  • Fluent English required both written and spoken.
